What Iridion is
Iridion is the reader for stories that refuse to stay flat. Built for The Foundry, Iridion turns the graphic novel into a living, layered experience-where art, text, audio, motion, commentary, accessibility aids, translations, and reader context can exist together without fighting for the same tiny square of attention. It is not "comics with extra buttons."

At its heart, Iridion is empathetic technology. It understands that readers do not all come to us the same way: some need larger text, some want narration, some want the original language beside a translation, some want quiet, some want immersion, and some want to understand the creator's intent without breaking the spell. Iridion gives readers control without making them feel like they are operating machinery. The interface gets out of the way like it has some manners.

For creators, Iridion opens the page without breaking it. A single scene can carry:
- the finished panel
- alternate dialogue
- behind-the-scenes notes
- music cues
- voice performance
- motion layers
- accessibility descriptions
- future expansions
The reader can move through only what they need, or lose themselves in the full architecture of the work. respects both the casual reader and the obsessed lore-goblin. We see you, noble goblin.
